Tracy Walker Named General Manager Of Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

ORLANDO, Fla. – Tracy Walker has been named general manager for the new Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, scheduled to open October 1, 2009. In her new post Walker will have the distinction of presiding over the destination's largest hotel managed by a woman, as well as the largest property in the Hilton portfolio under female leadership.

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek will offer 1,000 rooms and suites and 122,000 square feet of meeting space. The hotel is part of Bonnet Creek – a 482-acre resort complex surrounded on three sides by Walt Disney World® Resort – that will also be home to the Waldorf Astoria® Orlando. The hotel will also offer a two-acre lagoon-style pool and six restaurants and lounges, including La Luce®, a signature eatery created by famed Napa Valley Chef Donna Scala, and New Orleans' famed dessert boutique, Sucré®.

Walker is a 21-year industry veteran and has been affiliated with Hilton Hotels since 2002, most recently serving as general manager for Newark Airport Hilton. Previously, she worked for the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach and Hilton Chicago. Prior to joining the company, Walker was employed by Wyndham Hotels Corporation as general manager for The Mayfair in St. Louis and hotel manager for the Wyndham Salt Lake City.

Walker began her career with Hilton Hotels at the Burbank Airport Hilton and Convention Center. She is a graduate of the University of Utah.

Bonnet Creek, Opening October 1, 2009
